Those contestants that are worried about doing a rock rendition should keep in mind that rock music is perhaps the most eclectic of music genres, covering a wide variety of sounds and styles, and is not just alot of screaming voices and metal. Most of the early stuff from the heady days, for example, is predominantly hummable and the lead singers then, as many now, have voices that match the best of other music genres. Do some digging, it should not take much, and you a find that you will be spoilt for choice.
